New website for Hampshire
We’re pleased to have launched a brand new website where Hampshire residents can find out what support they might be eligible for under Hampshire County Council’s Hitting the Cold Spots service.
At the heart of the Hitting the Cold Spots service is the offer of help to people most affected by extreme weather conditions, perhaps due to a health condition, a poorly insulated home or difficulty with paying gas and electricity bills.
Our dedicated team of energy advisers deliver the service across Hampshire and help residents access funding for new heating and hot water systems, explore options for home improvement grants, save energy around the home and get to the bottom of complications relating to their gas and electricity accounts.
As well as helping residents live more comfortably day-to-day, the service also benefits the NHS by helping to keep patients out of hospital, and the upgraded heating and hot water systems help to reduce carbon emissions and make properties across the county more energy efficient.
We’ve been delivering Hitting the Cold Spots on behalf of Hampshire County Council for many years now and were awarded a fresh contract that began in April 2024 for three years.
The website is www.hantscoldspots.environmentcentre.com and includes topics such as what to do if your heating or hot water system has broken, how to manage damp and mould, and tips for saving energy around the home.
