Hampshire Energy Advice Service
We’re pleased to publish a highlight report that shares the key achievements of a two-year funded Energy Advice service.
In 2022, we were successful in our bid for funding from the Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme to deliver an outreach service to help people save money and energy at home.
The Hampshire Energy Advice Service was launched in September 2022 and has since helped thousands of residents reduce their energy bills, get to the bottom of complex situations with their energy supplier, install simple energy saving items like draught-proofing tape and radiator reflector panels, and learn about large grants and funding streams they might be eligible for.
Adam Goulden, Chief Executive, said: “This funding enabled us to shift from reacting to client contact to proactively reaching residents in their community and crucially, providing a platform for onward referrals to our Southampton Healthy Homes, Hitting the Cold Spots (Hampshire) and Switched On Portsmouth casework teams where required. It’s been a fantastic addition to our core services and has undoubtedly helped us to lift people out of fuel poverty and towards more comfortable and sustainable living conditions.”
