Grants and funding
Our job at tEC is to keep up to date with the latest funding opportunities and to understand how to apply for them on your behalf. We’re an independent charity and we act as an intermediary to help you improve your home and save money.
Most of our work is on behalf of people in low income households who benefit from tailored support and guidance, but you’re welcome to contact us about any of the funding opportunities highlighted here regardless of your situation.
In an effort to combat climate change and reduce energy bills, there are a number of Government funding streams available to help with the costs of energy efficient home improvements. Some grants are available to everyone, but many are targeted at low income households and residents living in homes that are poorly insulated.
These grants can be used to make significant changes to your property and can include insulation, low carbon heating systems and solar panels.
If you think you might be eligible for a grant or you’d like to find out more, contact us to start a conversation about your personal situation.
If you’re a Southampton resident, you might be eligible for local funding. Read more about our Southampton Healthy Homes programme, delivered in partnership with Southampton City Council, and get in touch if you’d like to find out more.
If you live in a Hampshire district and are in a low income household, you might be eligible for county-wide funding, including grants for replacing broken boilers. Read more about our Hitting the Cold Spots programme in partnership with Hampshire County Council.
We’ll be able to tell you if you’re eligible for one of the Government’s smaller funding opportunities, too. Depending on your circumstances, you might be able to claim council rebates, energy rebates, the Cold Weather Payment and other forms of support. We can also help you with the Warm Home Discount, which you should receive automatically if you are eligible.
